NewsChannel 13 has learned a 10-year-old is in the hospital after being hit by a vehicle in the Village of Ravena.

Ravena Fire Department says it happened just before 3 p.m. Sunday in the area of 20 Main Street.

Upon their arrival, they found the child had been struck by a vehicle and already in the care of EMS.

Sheriff Craig Apple tells us the child was taken to Albany Medical Center, and he is unsure of injuries at this time.

Ravena Fire says the investigation is being handled by law enforcement and there are no additional updates at this time.
