18-year-old Albany man arrested in domestic-related menacing incident
Albany Police arrested Brazil Watson, 18, of Albany on Saturday in connection to a domestic-related menacing incident.
They say the incident happened Friday night on the 500 block of Third Street.
Officers say they received a report of a person with a weapon call at the residence and responded around 8:00 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers say they discovered Watson was involved in a physical altercation with a female over personal issues inside the home. It was in the incident that Watson threatened the female with a handgun, said police.
Watson fled the scene prior to police arrival, said Albany Police.
Shortly after, patrol officers aw Watson in the area of Third Street and Ontario Street and tried to stop him. He ran from officers on foot, but was eventually apprehended and taken into custody, said police.
Albany Police say Watson was charged with second-degree menacing and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.
Police say he is scheduled to be arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court Saturday morning.
