Crews battle large house fire in South Glens Falls
The South Glens Falls Company battled a large fire on Stillswood Lane.
A family is displaced after a large fire left their home destroyed Thursday night.
The South Glens Falls Fire Company responded to Stillwood Lane at 6:47 Thursday night for a report of a structure fire.
Firefighters tell NewsChannel 13 that the roof caved in as firefighters were inside the home. Firefighters said this made the fire more challenging as they were forced to evacuate the home.
There were no injuries to any firefighters or any civilians.
Crews were able to put the fire out in about 45 minutes.
Firefighters were able to rescue a cat that survived through the whole fire.
