33-year-old man arrested for allegedly damaging property, violating order of protection, making threats

The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office arrested Joseph F. Caliva, 33, of Ballston Lake following investigation into a domestic incident that happened on January 29.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joseph F. Caliva, 33, of Ballston Lake following investigation into a domestic incident that happened on January 29.
Officials responded to the incident around 2:50 p.m. on Knottingley Place in the Town of Ballston.
They say Caliva is accused of damaging property belonging to someone else in an amount exceeding $250, while violating an order of protection to do so.
He is also charged with threatening the protected parties.
Caliva was charged with the following:
- First-degree criminal contempt
- Second-degree harassment
- Third-degree criminal mischief
Authorities say Caliva was released on appearance tickets pending further proceedings in the matter.
