One man is dead and another man is in jail after a deadly crash in the town of New Baltimore.

This happened Thursday morning on County Route 54.

Greene County Sheriff’s Deputies say a Jeep Grand Cherokee with two people inside went off the road and hit several trees.

Crews tried to save the passenger, 29-year-old Vance Cohen from Hudson, but he died at the scene.

The driver, 43-year-old Evan Kravits, also from Hudson, is now charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while impaired.

Kravitz is being held in the Greene County Jail without bail.
