Vermont State Police arrested 5 people who are accused of aiding a fugitive.
This is in connection to the shooting of a St. Johnsbury police officer last month.
Troopers say these 5 people were involved in helping Scott Mason avoid being caught by police, after he allegedly shot Captain Jason Gray.
Mason was believed to be hiding in the Capital Region after the shooting, but was later arrested in a home next door to where the shooting happened.
Captain Gray was responding to a domestic violence incident at Scott Mason’s apartment, when he was shot.
