Around 20 correction officers participating in an illegal siirke have been fired so far, according to the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
About 20 correction officers have been fired for participating in unsanctioned strikes.
The Department of Corrections and Community Supervision also said that 5,200 workers have been told their health insurance has been canceled.
There are 32 facilities still affected by the strike. Some workers have gone back inside, the state said.
The correction officers have been protesting working conditions, including mandatory overtime and seeking a repeal of the HALT Act, which limits the amount of time inmates can spend in solitary confinement.
