Activists protest outside GOP fundraiser in Mechanicville

A protest took place Thursday outside a GOP fundraiser in Mechanicville, drawing approximately 100 activists. It happened outside the Fairways of Halfmoon Golf Course.

The event featured Rep. Elise Stefanik as the keynote speaker, she handed out awards at the event.

The protest was organized by the Indivisible ADK/Saratoga organization. Demonstrators called for Rep. Stefanik to be more responsive to her constituents, suggesting that she host town halls like other representatives.

Protesters also chastised Stefanik for not listening to the diverse voices within her community.

The demonstration featured a mix of supporters and detractors, with vehicles passing by to honk and show solidarity.

NewsChannel 13 reached out to Stefanik’s office, they declined to comment.
