Albany gets first high-speed EV charging stations

The first high-speed electric vehicle charging stations are coming to the city of Albany.

Mayor Kathy Sheehan and the New York Power Authority officially announced the new addition.

When they are plugged into the fastest available charger for 10 minutes, it can keep a driver on the road for more than 200 miles.

Earlier this year, Gov. Kathy Hochul said all new vehicles sold in New York state by 2035 will either need to be electric or plug-in hybrids.
