Albany man, 74, dead after stabbing

A 74-year-old Albany man was stabbed to death on Saturday and a person of interest is in custody.

Albany Police responded to a residence on the 100 block of North Lake Avenue at about 12:40 p.m. for reports of a stabbing. The victim had multiple stab wounds. He was treated on scene by emergency medical personnel and was pronounced dead, police said.

The name of the victim will not be released until proper notifications have been made.

Police believe the suspect and victim know each other and this is an isolated incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
