Albany man arrested on felony gun possession charges

An Albany man was arrested on felony gun possession charges.

23-year-old Nalone Latimer was pulled over by police for a traffic stop Friday morning at around 10:30 a.m. in the area of Central Avenue and Colvin Avenue.

During the stop, police saw a loaded 9mm handgun beneath the driver’s seat on the floor under Latimer’s legs.

He did not legally possess the weapon and was arrested, police said.

Latimer is charged with one count of felony criminal possession of a weapon, one count of felony criminal possession of a firearm, and a traffic violation.

Latimer will be arraigned in Albany City Court on Saturday.
