Albany man convicted in high schooler’s murder

An Albany man was found guilty Monday in the May 2021 murder of an 18-year-old high school student.
Alvin Foy, 20, killed Chyna Forney on Essex Street. She was not the intended target, police said.
Forney was a senior at Albany Leadership Charter School.
Foy’s co-defendant, Jahmere Manning, was previously sentenced to 20 years to life in prison.
Foy is scheduled to be sentenced on May 19.
