Albany man convicted of assault, weapons possession
An Albany man has been convicted of assault and a number of weapons and drug possession charges.

35-year-old Jeffery Everett was convicted Monday, the Albany County district attorney said.
He was accused of having an illegal gun and hitting a victim in her head and body and kicking her in the face.
It happened in December 2021 in the area of Grand Street and Madison Avenue.
He was also accused of having cocaine and crack cocaine with the intent to sell it in January of 2022 in the same area.
He will be sentenced in October and he faces up to 27 years in state prison.
