Arrest made in Albany shooting

A 25-year-old Albany man is facing charges resulting from a shooting last month on Central Avenue.

George Blunt was arrested Tuesday following an investigation by Albany Police.

On March 12 at around 1:10 a.m. police say they responded to the area of Central Avenue and Quail Street after receiving reports of a shooting.

No injuries have been reported.

The investigation determined that Blunt fired several rounds from a handgun toward a crowd standing on the 300 block of Central Avenue.

Blunt is charged with one count of Reckless Endangerment and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

He was arraigned Tuesday in Albany City Criminal Court and sent to the Albany County Jail.
