An Albany man was sentenced last week to 12 years to life in prison after being deemed a persistent violent felon.
Naftalie Trimino, 30, had previously admitted to possessing a loaded pistol and a quantity of cocaine. Trimino had pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon last January to satisfy the indictment, including five uncharged drug cases, the Albany County District Attorney’s Office said.
Trimino has a long criminal history. He was sentenced to three years in prison in 2011 in Albany County Court on a weapons charge, according to the state inmate database. He was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2016 for another weapons conviction. He was released in 2021, records show.
