Albany man sentenced for illegal gun possession

An Albany man was sentenced to state prison on Tuesday, after being convicted of possessing an illegal gun in Albany, last May.

Ahquis Tarver is expected to serve 11 years in prison, along with five years’ post-release supervision, the district attorney’s office said.

Turner was convicted of a felony weapons charge, back in January.
