Albany mayor eager to unite behind Harris as DNC delegate
Mayor Kathy Sheehan weighs in on Biden dropping out of the presidential race.
Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan is one of the roughly 300 delegates from New York that will be attending the Democratic convention in Chicago.
She said she is eager to unite behind Vice President Kamala Harris after President Joe Biden dropped out.
“I think that we need to move quickly to give an answer to the American people as to who the Democratic candidate is,” she said. “This is a really important election. Democracy is on the line. The future and direction of this country is on the line, but we don’t have a tremendous amount of time. We have to move forward quickly, and I hope to move forward quickly.”
