Albany men arraigned in fatal stabbing
Two men charged with murder, gang assault in connection with the stabbing of a man last month.
Two men have been arraigned for allegedly killing an Albany man.
Marco Reyes-Lopez, 24, and Javier Martinez-Reyes are accused of stabbing 24-year-old Abel Vasques-Bautista on June 3 in the area of Washington Avenue. They allegedly injured a second person, the Albany Conty District Attorney’s Office said.
Both Reyes-Lopez and Javier Martinez-Reyes were arraigned Friday on charges of second-degree murder and first-degree gang assault. They were sent to Albany County Jail and are due back in court on July 26.
Both suspects did not have legal status to be in the United States, according to the Times Union.
