Albany pair charged in connection with fatal stabbing
Two Albany men have been charged in connection with a homicide earlier this month.
Marco Reyes-Lopez, 24, and Javier Martinez-Reyes, 27, are accused of stabbing 24-year-old Abel Vasques-Bautista on June 3 at around 3:40 a.m. in the area of Washington Avenue and Quail Street,
Two Albany men have been charged in connection with a homicide earlier this month.
Marco Reyes-Lopez, 24, and Javier Martinez-Reyes, 27, are accused of stabbing 24-year-old Abel Vasques-Bautista on June 3 at around 3:40 a.m. in the area of Washington Avenue and Quail Street, Albany Police said. Vasques-Bautista was taken to Albany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Another 25-year-old man had a stab wound to his back and was taken to Albany Medical Center.
Both Reyes-Lopez and Martinez-Reyes have been charged with second-degree murder and first-degree gang assault. They were arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and sent to Albany County Jail.
