Police chase in Albany leads to man wanted in Rhode Island

A police chase in Albany ended with a man arrested on charges out of Rhode Island.

Ike Weems, 58, of Albany was driving a stolen truck Wednesday afternoon, police said.

During a chase, Weems’ vehicle hit two empty parked cars in the area of South Main Avenue and Hansen Avenue, investigators said.

Weems was taken into custody. He was sent to the Albany County Jail, waiting to be taken back to Rhode Island.
