Albany Police are welcoming college students back to the city, with a few reminders to keep them safe.

Students should always be aware of their surroundings, and if they see something, say something.

Police also remind students to walk with friends if they can, rather than alone.

College students should know all college local and campus emergency numbers, and keep their doors and windows locked.

This comes in the wake of UAlbany student Alexa Kropf being hit by a dirt bike, leaving her severely injured in the middle of the road.

She is now recovering from what was hopefully her final brain surgery.
