Albany Police investigating two separate weekend shootings

Albany Police are investigating after they responded to two shootings this past weekend.

Police received a call around 11:35 Saturday evening, for shots fired at First and Quail Streets.

Police then received a similar call about a half-hour later for Mount Hope and South Pearl Streets.

Evidence was found from both scenes, police said.

There are no reported injuries from either shooting, so far.

Both are still under investigation, and it is unknown if they’re connected.
