Albany Police investigating sexual assault on Fuller Road

Albany Police tell us they are investigating a sexual assault that was reported on Saturday.

They say it reportedly occurred in the area of Six Mile Park at 135 Fuller Road in Albany.

Officers responded to that location at around 5:20 p.m.

When police arrived, they discovered that the female victim was inside a vehicle at the time of the assault.

Police say she was able to free herself from the vehicle and seek help.

Authorities say the suspect fled the scene. He was described as a 5 feet 7 inches tall male, and is believed to be operating a 2022 gray Mitsubishi Outlander, which the vehicle has since been found by police since the original police report of the incident.

The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital for further treatment, said police.
