Sticker Mule: Court order vacated, paving way for giant Trump sign in Amsterdam

A temporary court order preventing a giant "Vote for Trump" sign on Sticker Mule in Amsterdam has been vacated, the company told NewsChannel 13's Zach Richter on Monday evening.

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (WNYT) – A temporary court order preventing a giant “Vote for Trump” sign on Sticker Mule in Amsterdam has been vacated, the company told NewsChannel 13’s Zach Richter on Monday evening.

The sign was lit tonight at the event where more than a thousand Trump supporters came out to watch.

“I wasn’t even sure if I was gonna be able to light the sign up until 30 minutes before the event, I was concerned if I lit it, I was gonna end up in jail for who knows how long.” said Sticker Mule’s CEO.

As NewsChannel 13 previously reported, the CEO of Sticker Mule, Anthony Constantino, has installed a 100-foot sign atop his building on Elk Street.

“I think this sign is going to be a landmark. It’s going to be an exciting sign for everyone. It’s going to be one of those signs, like the Las Vegas sign, or like the Hollywood sign, that people are going to want to come and see forever. So, I think it’s great for the community. Our lawyers are going to handle the legal stuff,” Constantino said.

The city along with Mayor Michael Cinquanti, who is endorsed by Democrats, had previously said the sign could be seen from the Thruway and was a safety hazard.

NewsChannel 13 reached out to the Mayor’s Office and Amsterdam City Code Enforcement for comment and have not yet heard back.
