Animal shelter asking for help after taking in 40+ strays
The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society is asking for help after removing more than 3 dozen stray cats from one home in Montgomery County.
The shelter says the owner tells them he’s lived in the area all his life and has been feeding cats for decades – but the number of cats to care for has gotten out of control.
The shelter says the animals need to be spayed or neutered, given vaccinations, or micro-chips and treatment for any illnesses or injuries.
They say care is expected to cost at least $470.
