Blues Traveler headlines free concert at Belmont in Saratoga

Blues Traveler ready to go at Belmont

Blues Travelers is headlining the concert at Belmont.

A free concert was held Wednesday evening in Saratoga Springs to kick off Belmont weekend.

Thousands of people showed up for this historic event.

The lineup included Tops of Trees, The Pat McGee band, and the headliner, Blues Traveler.

Broadway was closed for the event and parking is tricky, so a complimentary shuttle service has been provided by CDTA from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

There are certain items you can’t bring with you to the event including coolers, backpacks, large bags, strollers, pets, glass bottles and alcohol.

This is an opportunity to showcase the city and Saratoga County as a major event destination, city leaders said.

This weekend is expected to have an economic impact of more than $50 million.
