Police have identified a body pulled from the Hudson River Wednesday as a 40-year-old missing Colonie man.
Agapito “Pete” Lebron was reported missing by family members who had returned home from out of town, police said.
The investigation revealed that Lebron’s vehicle had been towed from the Ingalls Avenue boat launch a few days earlier.
Lebron had been known to launch his kayak in that area and fish on the river.
An extensive search was unsuccessful. A fisherman located a body on Wednesday in the vicinity of the Arsenal City Tavern in Watervliet, according to police.
The cause of death was determined to be drowning, and there is no criminal activity involved, investigators said
