Bridge to be dedicated in honor of Frankoski

Bridge over I-90 to be dedicated in honor of Casey Frankoski on Sunday.

Chief Warrant Officer Casey Frankoski gave her life serving this country, and now her community is honoring her life and legacy.

Last month, Gov. Kathy Hochul signed an executive order to rename a bridge over I-90 in honor of the fallen hero.

The bridge on Washington Avenue will now be known as the CW 2 Casey N. Frankoski Memorial Bridge.

Frankoski was one of two local National Guard soldiers killed in a helicopter crash in March. A third Capital Region resident was hurt in that crash and continues to recover.

On Sunday, people are coming together for a dedication ceremony at the bridge.

It begins at noon.

Also, Warren County Sheriff’s deputies jumped into Lake George on New Year’s Day to honor the Frankoski during the Polar Plunge.

The Sheriff’s Office said it was a great start to 2025, and it looks forward to working together to achieve great things in the new year.
