CDPHP delivers Thanksgiving meals to people need
People in Watervliet and Albany got Thanksgiving meals delivered to their doors today, thanks to CDPHP.
The company gave out bags with Thanksgiving dinners at the Hudson Shores Apartments in Watervliet, along with free blood pressure screenings and health information.
In the past, CDPHP worked with Equinox for Thanksgiving. With Equinox not delivering this year, the company stepped up to help out.
“CDPHP has bought some meals from Nicole’s catering and we sponsored this location, Hudson Shores apartment complex along with other Albany Housing Authority locations,” said CDPHP Community Wellness Advocate Nora Murphy. “We had a lot of volunteers this morning from CDPHP sorting the meals. They also come with fuzzy warm blankets, the meals itself, and some health-related information and some cards that were written by Watervliet elementary school.”
CDPHP assembled and gave out 135 meals Tuesday.
“We just wanted them to feel loved,” said Murphy. “We wanted them to feel like we were thinking about them and that they had someone wishing them a happy holiday season and had a nice warm blanket wrapped around them!”
