The city of Albany has installed protective netting on two sides of the Central Warehouse to catch debris falling from the dilapidated structure.

The building’s owner will be billed for the work.

City officials decided to install the netting after bricks fell from the eyesore last month. 

A similar situation last year led the city to declare a state of emergency and suspend Amtrak service past the building.
