Cleanup crews want residents to pick up their leaves.
As those leaves begin to fall, paired with an increase in stormy wet weather, they can become a combination that leads to clogged drains, causing water to back up and flood neighborhood streets and sidewalks.
Cleanup crews were out helping on Thursday, but this is something you can do to avoid residential flooding. Put on a pair of gloves and if you see a cluster of leaves – pick them up.

Another thing you can do is rake your leaves out of the ditches and storm drains.
