Couple accused in connection to puppy set on fire back in court
The couple accused of abusing a pit bull puppy were back in court on Wednesday.
Christopher Maxwell is accused of dousing a pit bull puppy with gasoline and lighting the dog on fire inside its crate. It is not clear whether the dog was already dead when it was in the crate. A necropsy was set to be performed.
Latisha Ellis co-owned the dog with Maxwell.
They were offered plea deals and given two weeks to accept or reject those offers.
