Court appearance moved for ex-day care worker accused of slapping child

The court appearance for the former day care worker accused of slapping a 1-year-old child has been rescheduled.

Hannah Bunce, 63, of Mechanicville, was to be in Halfmoon Town Court on Wednesday. Her appearance has been rescheduled for June 18 at 6 p.m.

Bunce allegedly threw the child into a crib and struck him with an open hand on April 4, in an apparent case of corporal punishment.

Bunce worked at Maple Leaf Day Care.
