The teenager arrested in connection to a deadly crash that killed another teen in Waterford is due in court later this month.

Everhett Hatlee, 18, will appear in Waterford Town Court on July 25, the court told NewsChannel 13.

As NewsChannel 13 has reported, court documents reveal Hatlee was smoking marijuana before the rollover crash on Fonda Road that killed Kiera Ebert, 14.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash. It was the only car involved in the crash, they said, and speeding was most certainly a factor.

Hatlee was arrested on several charges, including vehicular manslaughter and aggravated DWI with a child less than 16.
