Crash injures two in Corinth; Minor charged with DWI

Two youths were hurt and a minor charged with drunk driving after a crash in Saratoga County on Sunday.

It happened just before 7 a.m. on County Route 24 in the town of Corinth. The driver was traveling east on Fuller Road, when it passed a stop sign and crossed County Route 24 before ending up in an embankment.

The driver had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.10%, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said. The legal limit is 0.08%.

Three passengers were in the vehicle. Two of them were 15 years old or younger. One passenger was taken to Albany Center for facial injuries and pain to their shoulder, hip and pelvis, investigators said. The second passenger had head pain and was treated at the scene. The third passenger was not injured.

The driver, whose name is not being released due to the age, was charged with two counts of aggravated DWI, DWI, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of 0.08% or greater, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, speeding and moving from lane unsafely.

The minor was released to pretrial services.

The investigation is ongoing.
