Crews battle three-alarm fire in Cobleskill
Fire crews spent Saturday afternoon battling a large three-alarm fire in Cobleskill in Schoharie County Saturday afternoon.
Fire officials told NewsChannel 13’s Zach Richter that the fire broke out just before 12 p.m. on South Grand Street.
The fire had engulfed an abandoned home, when it started on the second floor and spread to the third floor.
Fire Chief Todd Whittaker told us that the the sidewalks were a bit icy, but once crews got the water going out of the trucks, they had no issue with continuing to put the fire out.
Whittaker said the building, however, is a total loss.
They say crews were at the scene for about four hours until they got the fire under control.
Officials say there were no injuries from the fire.
