DEC: Lost hiker in Warrensburg found with no shirt, shoes on Route 9
A man who had gotten lost hiking in Warrensburg last week was found walking on Route 9 without a shirt or shoes, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation said.
Dispatchers received a call on June 18 around 11:45 p.m. about a 45-year-old man from Glens Falls who was last seen the previous day on the Pack Forest nature trail in Warrensburg. Forest rangers searched overnight but did not find the man.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office advised police that the man was walking on Route 9.
Forest rangers interviewed the man, who said he had gotten lost, and found his way to the main road early on June 19.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment of dehydration.
