Delmar post office says Trump 2024 flag isn’t theirs

Many people in Delmar, a hamlet of Bethlehem, were upset about a Trump 2024 flag on a pole located on property outside a post office. It took away from the Memorial Day parade happening, the people said, and what this day means for veterans.

The U.S. Postal Service will not investigate further how a Trump 2024 flag was placed on a pole outside the Delmar post office.

Many people in the hamlet of Bethlehem said they were upset about the flag. They said it took away from the Memorial Day parade happening, the people said, and what this day means for veterans.

NewsChannel 13 went to check it out, and noticed it was tied on the pole with zip ties.

The big question everyone still wants to know is who put it there?

Bethlehem Police contacted postal inspectors, they said, because this happened at a governmental building.

It’s equally wrong if it was a Joe Biden flag according to the United States Postal Service website. It says the only flags to be displayed at postal facilities are the flag of the United States of America, the postal service flag, the POW flag and flags directly related to the USPS programs, missions and activities with special permission.

NewsChannel 13 contacted the Postal Service to ask about it, and got this response:

“The flag in question was not placed on our staff by postal personnel and will be removed as soon as possible.”

NewsChannel 13 checked again a short time later, and the flag was gone.

The U.S. Postal Service responded to a follow-up email about the matter.

“Currently, no further investigation is deemed necessary,” the email said.
