Blake Gendebien is the presumptive Democratic candidate for Congress, but you’ve likely never heard of him.

Gendebien is vying for the seat currently held by Elise Stefanik. He’s from St. Lawrence County and is a dairy farmer.

Gendebien told NewsChannel 13’s Mark Mulholland he is eager to bring that work ethic to Washington on behalf of the people of the 21st District.

He says he’s not intimidated that Republicans have a big enrollment advantage in the district, which has all or parts of 15 counties. 

Elise Stefanik got 62% of the vote in November.

He’s raised more than a million dollars already and says he’ll be running TV ads soon.
