DMV to replace peeling license plates for free

If you have a license plate that’s peeling, you can get it replaced for free.

The DMV encourages people with peeling plates to get new ones.

You’ll get a new license plate number. However, there’s a $20 fee if you want to keep the same plate number.

You can email the DMV your name, address, phone number, peeling plate number, and a photo of the plates.
