A new report from the state department of health found a fourteen percent increase last year in opioid deaths, over the year before.
The goal of the report is to keep the state up to date on health crises related to heroin and opioid use.
The quarterly report also found a two percent increase in hospital visits due to opioid overdoses – and a twelve percent increase in EMS administered Naloxone.
