Driver hurt after crashing into tractor-trailer in Pittstown

One person was seriously hurt after crashing into a tractor-trailer in Rensselaer County on Friday.

It happened around 4:10 p.m. on Route 7 in Pittstown. The vehicle was traveling east, when it collided with a westbound tractor-trailer, State Police said.

The driver was taken to Albany Medical Center for significant injuries.

Route 7 was closed in both directions between John Snyder Road and Parker School Road for a lengthy time for cleanup and investigation.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash is under investigation.
