East Greenbush daycare has license suspended

Just days after police in East Greenbush reported a death of a 1-year-old at a daycare in the town, NewsChannel 13 has learned an East Greenbush daycare has now had its license suspended by the state.
Home Away from Home Childcare had its license suspended by the Office of Children and Family Services, effective Friday, May 16.
Some of the violations cited on May 12 involve notifying parents and OCFS of a serious incident, death, and transportation to a hospital.
Another violation concerns failure to report suspicions that a child coming to the daycare is abused or maltreated.
The suspension will continue until OCFS approves the corrections of the violations.
Police have not confirmed if this was the same daycare, and NewsChannel 13 still has not learned a cause of death for that child.
NewsChannel 13 will continue to follow this story closely, and update you as we learn more.
