The 7th annual Girls Can Do event took place at the Empire State Plaza Saturday morning.
The Girl Scouts collected canned and packaged food during the fall, and Saturday they built, or can-structed things with the donated items.
There were different awards for things like most nutritious construction, and best use of labels.
All of the cans and boxes of food and goods went to the food pantries of the Capital District.
