The Federal Aviation Administration visited the scene of Wednesday’s plane crash in Vermont on Friday.

The plane crashed down on Mt. Equinox Wednesday morning after icing up in the air.

Pilot John Murphy was headed from Baltimore Maryland to Rutland, Vermont, when he says he was spinning and stalling in the air, saying it was bad airmen decision-making that led to the crash.

Images show the damage to that plane, with all three on board surviving. Murphy and his two adult children were on that single-engine Piper manufactured plane.

All three left with injuries including some stitches but now all doing OK. The pilot said he’s in shock he’s alive.

NewsChannel 13s Zach Richter will have an update on what the FAA found starting Live at 4 and on WNYT.com.
