Faulty masonry work led to a fire in Pittsfield.
It happened around 3:30 a.m., at 154 Blythewood Drive.
Firefighters arrived to find a log cabin, with smoke around the fireplace and stone facade inside.
The fire was burning in the wood between the facade and the chimney, so crews spent four hours taking down the stone.
No one was hurt, but fire officials say the damage will be costly.
