Craig Ross, the man accused of kidnapping a little girl from Moreau Lake State Park, finds himself without an attorney this morning.

George Conway, Ross’s attorney, has been appointed the new county attorney by the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors and will no longer be able to represent Ross or other defendants.

This development as we’ve learned Ross will not be back in court tomorrow as scheduled.

He was supposed to appear before Judge Jim Murphy, as prosecutors were expected to declare they were ready for trial. But both the defense and prosecution asked for an adjournment which the judge granted.

Ross is charged with kidnapping in the first degree which carries a maximum sentence of up to life in prison.
