Police have made an arrest in connection with a hit-and-run collision that killed a Queensbury man late last year.

Warren County Sheriff’s investigators have charged Peter Northup Jr., 33, of Hudson Falls with leaving the scene of the incident that took the life of Shane Winchell.

Winchell, 30, died after he was hit while walking along Burke Drive on the night of Dec. 15 at around 10:30 p.m. Police got a description of the Chrysler Town and Country minivan that hit Winchell and tracked down Northup who is being held in the Washington County Jail on unrelated charges.
