One of the hardest hit areas from a torrent of rain in parts of New York state is Orange County, about an hour and a half south of Albany.
A state of emergency is in place there, as some roads are washed away.
Entire communities are cut off in some spots.
NewsChannel 13 sent a crew to the area. We tried to get to Highland Falls, where Gov. Kathy Hochul spoke earlier in the day. However, roads in that area were all blocked off.
However, we ended up in Cornwall, New York, where roads are closed, and the damage is jaw dropping.
Take a look at some of the video by watching Tessa Bentulan’s story.
