Food donations sought for big ‘Canstruction’ build at Crossgates

Pantry shelves that are extra-stocked with some canned goods – an event at Crossgates is looking for donations.

Nearly a dozen teams are gearing up to create structures out of canned donations for the Capital Region Canstruction Design and Build competition. It will be on display at Crossgates Mall starting Monday, through the end of April.

If you go, you’re asked to bring a can to donate – there will be two spots on the ground floor of the mall, set up – near Apex Entertainment and Burlington Coat Factory.

All donations will go to benefit the Food Pantries for the Capital District, which serve more than five-dozen food pantries in our area.
